Research interests

Renata Barbosa is a PhD researcher and a tutor at the Criminal Law and Criminology Department at the Faculty of Law. Her research investigates the relationship between political crimes in amnesty, extradition, and serious politically motivated crimes. 

Renata completed her Bachelor in Law and Master in Constitutional Law in Federal Fluminense University (UFF). She worked as a clerk for the Public Defender's Office in Rio de Janeiro, as well as a blue book trainee at the European Commission. Renata was previously a lecturer in Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ) and Veiga de Almeida University (UVA). She is also a qualified member of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
