Knowledge management in clusters of companies: value network as a tool to strengthen knowledge exchange

Abstract

This study aimed to highlight the value network as a tool for knowledge exchange in Local Clusters. The methodology used in this research was qualitative and exploratory. The concept of information networks and value networks were used in order that the flow of information and knowledge being consolidate between the various agents of company networks, through better knowledge management. It was used a theoretical concept of value networks and concepts of knowledge management, and, the main approaches of Local Clusters. From the conducted research in this study, it was observed how information networks can contribute to the dissemination of information. It was also possible to establish a theoretical analysis on the value network and the value of knowledge, thus, allowing correlating and explaining the role of knowledge as an instrument in the economic and regional development in Local Clusters.
