Abstract
Histiocytoses are rare diseases that are characterized by the proliferation and accumulation of histiocytes in various tissues and organs. Juvenile xanthogranuloma, generalized eruptive histiocytosis and benign cephalic histiocytosis are non-Langerhans cell histiocytoses which in general follow a benign course and regress spontaneously. These tree types of histiocytoses show an overlap in histopathological, immunohistochemical and clinical characteristics. The findings in this case report support the theory that these non-Langerhans cell histiocytoses may be seen as a spectrum of diseases.
