Abstract
This thesis evaluated the current state of art in atrial fibrillation detection and management and introduced novel atrial fibrillation detection and management approaches. Part I focused on the traditional AF detection and management strategies and the associated clinical challenges and gaps of evidence. Part II discussed the importance of available mobile health solutions for remote atrial fibrillation detection and management. Part III described the implementation process and coordination as well as the first results of the TeleCheck-AF approach.
