Abstract
The certified agriculture carbon credits could offset part of the verified emission of emission-controlled enterprises and relieve the pressure of emission reduction in energy and industrial sectors. At the same time, agriculture carbon credit trading could encourage the agricultural sector to actively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase carbon sink, which will be conducive to actualizing the vision of “carbon neutrality”. From the perspective of Chinese legal system, some measures should be taken in order to promote and support the development of domestic agriculture carbon credit trading: relevant laws and regulations should be issued as soon as possible to specify the development of agriculture carbon credits; the methodology of agricultural carbon emission reduction should be explored to quicken the transformation from methodology to projects; supervision and management of the whole process of agriculture carbon credit trading should be improved .
