Research interests
Louise Longton is a junior lecturer and PhD candidate at the Maastricht Sustainability Institute of Maastricht University. Her research interests lie around alternative food systems and food initiatives that share strong community values and develop in opposition to the globalised agri-food system. She studies governance aspects in the development of such initiatives and how their interaction with the community, policy, and the market shape their development.
Besides her research activities, Louise is also a junior lecturer in the Master programme Sustainability Science, Policy and Society.
