Research interests: My research uses ultra-high field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods to investigate the link between neurotransmitters, mental health, and cognition in 22q11.2 copy number variant syndromes. These are rare genetic disorders which predispose carriers to a number of physical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental conditions. By studying 22q11.2, we hope to gain a better understanding of how psychiatric disorders manifest, in order to improve treatment efficacy.
Curriculum vitae: I received my BSc in Neuroscience from the University of St Andrews in 2019, and my MSc in Psychological Research from the University of Edinburgh in 2021. Before I started my PhD at Maastricht University in 2023, I was a research assistant in ultra-high field MRI and neuropsychopharmacology at the University of Oxford.
