Aleksandra Komornicka

Aleksandra Komornicka is an assistant professor in European history since 1945. Her research covers the international and economic history of post-war Europe in particular the history of the Cold War, European integration, and business. Aleksandra is an author of the Poland and European East-West Cooperation in the 1970s The Opening Up (Routledge, 2023).

Previously, Aleksandra was a lecturer at European Studies Department at the University of Amsterdam, a research associate in international history at the University of Glasgow, and an invited lecturer at the BA Global Governance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. She gained a PhD at the European University Institute (2021), an MSc at the London School of Economics (2016), and two BAs at the University of Warsaw (2014, 2015). During her studies, she participated in an exchange program at the Paris-Sorbonne University (2015) and held a visiting fellowship at Columbia University (2018).
