N2 - In this report, we provide suggestions for improving the way in which education is surveyed in PIAAC. We critically assess how the concepts of educational attainment, educational pathways and non-formal training were measured in the first cycle, and suggest improvements in how these can be measured in the second cycle of PIAAC. We also provide a detailed reasoning of the way in which educational attainment, educational pathways, and non-formal education can be surveyed, and provide concrete suggestions for the implementation and harmonisation of these measurements in the secondycle of PIAAC.
