Abstract

An integrated health policy is needed to help make the healthy choice an easy choice for obese people. Previous studies have shown that developing such a policy is complex and hard to stimulate. As part of this PhD study, a framework was developed and applied in order to study and facilitate an integrated health policy. This framework combines political, policy studies and behavioural science perspectives to create an entirely new approach that furthers our understanding of developing an integrated health policy to treat obesity. Development, in this case, is viewed as a challenging opportunity instead of a complex problem.
