Abstract
This paper discusses operational issues involved in measuring globalisation. We describe an updated Maastricht Globalisation Index (MGI) for measuring globalisation. We used data for 117 countries from a variety of resources to test the robustness of the suggested index. The updated index is used to delineate the various countries according to their level of globalisation.
