Abstract
This research contributes to the literature on licensing practices and related problems faced by contractors (especially smaller firms and Technology Transfer Offices that represent universities or public research organisations) when licensing technology “in” or “out”. The research is centred around an in-depth survey, to be designed with equally deep knowledge of the underlying literature and available market data, and aimed at generating not only market data, but also possible policy implications and recommendations for future policy initiatives.
