Abstract

A search for K 0 SðL Þ → π þπ μ þμ decays is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb −1. No K 0 SðL Þ → π þπ μ þμ signals are found and upper limits are set for the first time on the branching fractions BðK 0 S → π þπ μ þμ Þ < 1.4 × 10 −9 and BðK 0 L → π þπ μ þμ Þ < 6.6 × 10 −7, at the 90% confidence level.
