Abstract
The thesis explores the role of evidence in the formulation of European Public health policies. It investigates what kind of evidence does the European Commission use in the formulation of EU public health policies, and how does it source it and how the evidence is used. It also collected the perceptions of policy makers and stakeholders on the use of evidence and the hindering and facilitating factors in the uptake of scientific research.
