Abstract

The mammalian genome encodes transmembrane and soluble receptor guanylyl cyclases, both of which haveenzyme activities which convert guanosine-5'-triphosphate to the intracellular second messenger cyclic guanosine-3`,5`-monophoshate (cyclic GMP).
