Abstract
Radhika Coomaraswamy has played an important role in furthering human rights, particularly for women and children, both at home in Sri Lanka, as well as internationally in her function of (first) UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women, and Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict.
