Abstract

Peripheral Neuropathy outcome measure Standardization (PeriNomS) studies the outcome measures for nerve conditions (polyneuropathy). Objective results require an objective measure (outcome). This method can be used to determine how a patient feels and the effects of a certain treatment. Unfortunately, no objective measures exist for most chronic disorders. This study led to the development of a measure that was internationally recognised as the best way to determine the effects of a treatment. This will make it easier to compare studies in the future and can be used for multiple diseases.
