Abstract
This chapter deals with dilemma's surrounding the management of patients with insufficient benefit ofdeep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus (STN-DBS) presumed to be due to electrode mislocalization. Management dilemmas are illustrated by a patient in whom 3.5 years after STN-DBS a lead-repositioning was undertaken. After reading the chapter, readers are better equipped to decide when to query electrode localization, and how to approach clinical decision making in the case of mislocalization.
