Abstract

Lung cancer (LC) is the second most common cancer expected to be newly diagnosed in 2020 and the most leading cause of cancer deaths, in both men and women [1]. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80–85% of all LC patients, and 10–15% have small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). At diagnosis, approximately 60% of the LCs are diagnosed at stage III or IV [2].
