Abstract
In the era of globalization, medical education is confronted with many internationalization challenges and choices. This thesis results from an exploration of choices around the aims, vision and content of International Medical Programmes at universities in eight countries. The studies address the different ambitions and expectations of students in International Medical Programmes, and the challenges in curriculum design. The findings are relevant to (prospective) students and alumni, as well as to medical educators and university administrators who are interested in making their curriculum globally relevant.
