Abstract

The African country Chad, is confronted with an enormous climatic problem which affects its only Lake. From 1963 to these days, the Lake shrank as "shagreen". The real threat of the progressive disappearance of the Lake Chad is an ecological disaster and establishes the decline of agriculture and, the size of the herds and fisheries. And it threatens the well-being of more than 30 million populations living in the pond of the Lake Chad. This thesis intends to investigate what international law of the environment can do to protect the water, the source of life. Practically it aims to make the authorities aware that they should take action.
