Abstract

Institutional investors (pension funds) have, due their long investment horizons and large AuM, a responsibility towards corporate governance and sustainable ethics of the companies and funds in which they invest. Voting policies and behaviours are still underused in this strategy set. This advice by the Pension Laboratory (Pensioenlab ‘23-‘24) recommends that pension funds develop a strategic approach towards their voting behaviour.
