Abstract

(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2025;232:396.e1–396.e19) A congenital structural anomaly is diagnosed in about 2.5% of pregnancies. In most high-income countries, routine care includes a second-trimester anomaly scan at 18 to 21 weeks’ gestation.
