Abstract

People with a hereditary predisposition to cancer have a 50% risk in each pregnancy to pass on this predisposition on to their offspring. Various reproductive options are available in the Netherlands to prevent this inheritance, such as prenatal diagnosis and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. Many couples find it difficult to make a choice between these options. In this multifaceted project, a digital patient selection aid has been developed and evaluated with the aim of supporting couples in making an informed decision when they want to have children.
