Abstract

In bimaxillary surgery success and stability of the results can only be achieved by rigid fixation. Despite the stable osteosynthesis, surgical principles must be observed. These include bridging major gaps between bone edges by bone transplants or stimulating bone healing by adding bone marrow stem cells.
