During the 41st Dies Natalis (anniversary celebration) of Maastricht University on February 7, 2017, Denise Petzold received the Student Award 2016 for her master thesis "Im)Materiality in the museum: Shaping the lives of performance artworks through documentation", written in the MSc Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology. Her supervisor was Peter Peters.
