Description

This project examines how grassroots actors in various districts of Buenos Aires, Argentina have worked to create empowering new educational opportunities through the development of alternative community-based schools. Merging the sociology of education with the field of social movement studies, the project uses process tracing methods to explore the struggles, strategies and successes that have come to characterize community-based schooling organizations.
