Research interests

Dr Türker Ertaş (1987) is visiting post-doc research fellow at Maastricht University Faculty of Law. He obtained his PhD degree from Dokuz Eylül University Graduate School of Social Sciences with a thesis titled “The Modern Relations between the Legislative, Executive and Judiciary Branches within the context of the Principle of Separation of Powers” in 2017. He is currently working on his habilitation treatise/post-doc on “The Constitutional Aspects of the European Convention on Human Rights” and teaching the courses of comparative constitutional law, systems of government, constitutional review and the modern aspects of the principle of separation of powers at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law in Izmir. His research interest mainly focuses on the theory and practice of the principle of separation of powers, systems of government, constitutionalism and ECHR, executive decree power and formation of constitutional review bodies.
