Clinical nutrition and dietetics, resilience in adolescents, eating disorders in adolescents, obesity prevention in children, and Vitamin D during pregnancy.
I am currently working as a Ph.D. student at Maastricht University and studying the role of psychosocial resilience in preventing obesity among Indian adolescents. A Master’s in Food and Nutrition with eight years of experience in public health(research & development). I am experienced working with different communities, including vulnerable/marginalized populations like refugees, pregnant women, infants, children, and adolescents. Over the years, I have worked with international and national organizations to technically support them on various projects (both quantitative and qualitative) and programs. My experience includes working on maternal-child health and nutrition projects, eating disorders among adolescents, and the importance of Vitamin D across the lifecycle, especially during pregnancy. In addition, I have worked extensively with rural and urban communities of West Bengal and Delhi – NCR, India, in various projects funded by both national and international donors. Recipient of the Senior and Junior Research Fellowship award from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
