Muzammil Iqbal is a scientific researcher currently working at BrightSite PlasmaLab of Maastricht University. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Physics and Chemistry in 2018 from Dalian University of Technology, after obtaining his master's degrees in both Physics and Nanotechnology. His research focus is in the field of non-equilibrium plasma science and technology, including atmospheric pressure gas phase plasmas, plasma-liquid interactions, and low pressure inductively coupled plasmas.

As the Plasma Scholar, He has expertise in a wide range of technical areas, including plasma reactor design, plasma treatment, plasma diagnostics, plasma agriculture, and plasma catalysis. He is skilled in using various analytical instruments, including UV-Vis spectrophotometers, optical emission spectroscopy (OES), FTIR, mass spectroscopy, ion chromatography, SEM, XPS, and XRD.

Before joining BrightSite PlasmaLab, He spent four years (2018-2022) as a postdoc at the Plasma Engineering Lab of the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials. During this time, he worked on plasma electrolysis, plasma nitrogen fixation, and plasma C1 to C2 conversion, and he was able to design several new reactor systems. Three of these designs have already been filed for patent.

Muzammil is always open to new opportunities for collaboration and is happy to discuss potential projects with interested parties. for more details Visit Personal Blog
