Research interests

Though I am endlessly interested in architecture and urbanity in their own right, my research interrogates the built environment in order to interrogate and understand the modern trajectory of art, science, technology, political economy, and other often abstract historical forces. I am particularly interested in the 1960s, its legacy, and the relationship among (i) the counterculture and avant-garde, (ii) the New Right and neoliberal capitalism, and (iii) cybernetics.
