Personal profile

Research interests

  • Collaborative logistics. The development of decision support tools for joint logistics optimization in a multi-partner setting. This involves the construction of shared vehicle routes, the design of optimal coalition congurations and the inclusion of fair cost (or prot) allocation mechanisms.
  • Synchromodality and the Physical Internet. Study the working of integrated logistics networks with respect to synchromodal planning (algorithmic design), pricing and gain sharing.
  • Decentralization and network integration. Models for decentralized planning to support supply chain integration and coordination.
  • Warehouse operations. Combinatorial optimization for logistical planning in highly structured environments and improved order picking efficiency through anticipatory picking and demand prediction.
