For more than five decades the cruise liner Ocean Majesty sailed the world's seas, most recently taking elderly German holidaymakers to the edge of the Arctic Circle. Since August, however, it has found a more humbleberth: the docks in Velsen-Noord, a Dutch village about 30 kilometres northwest of Amsterdam. The ship hasseen more glamorous days: the swimming pool has been drained and taped off, the duty-free shop filled withdonated clothes and toys, and the Bellini Bar, where passengers used to drink cocktails and smoke cigars, isused for Dutch lessons.
