Description
Women in Data Science Maastricht features outstanding data science contributions from women working in data science. It took place online on the 8th of March 2022. The theme was the impact of Data Science on health care. The event targeted the data science community and aimed to inspire and educate both students & professionals. The invited speakers came from academia and industry and shared their data science expertese on various healthcare related aspects.The conference is organized yearly by the Institute of Data Science. In 2022 the organisations was supported by the Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering, FEM Maastricht, Brightlands Heerlen.
The conference is open to all members of society and provides a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments in data science, upgrade the network connections and start fruitful collaborations.
The conference is an independently organised event and part of the Women in Data Science network started as at Stanford University. In 2021 the WiDS Worldwide conference reached over 100,000 people across the globe and organised 200+ WiDS regional events in 50+ countries
