The Neighbouring Languages Conference 2022 was organised within the context of the INTERREG project EMR-Lingua and gathered policymakers, school directors, and teachers from the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, a Belgian-Dutch-German cross-border region. In my multilingual keynote presentation, I shared a number of reflections on the notion of “neighbouring language”.
