Appointed Member of the Board of Directors (Consejo Directivo).

The Board of Directors is the government body of the Colombian Institute of Tax and Customs Law - ICDT. It is a civil association of a non-profit, non-profit and scientific nature, established in 1963, domiciled in Bogota, whose purpose is the study, research, dissemination and improvement of tax law, customs law and foreign trade, as well as those legal, economic, financial and accounting aspects related to them. ICDT has more than 850 members, including lawyers, accountants, economists, business administrators and other professionals. ICDT is a member of the Latin American Institute of Tax Law ILADT and the International Fiscal Association IFA Colombia

Amongst other functions, the Board of Directors issue concepts at the request of the Constitutional Court in trials of constitutionality of tax rules; making recommendations to the national authorities on the issues studied in the Colombian Conference on Tax Law, Customs Law and Foreign Trade; submitting comments on bills pending in the Congress of the Republic, from an eminently academic point of view and, in general, exercising functions aimed at the improvement of the Colombian Tax Law, Customs Law and Foreign Trade.
