About this event
Our presenters and the titles of their presentations:

Lukas Lehner - Europe’s Social Model facing the Covid-19 Employment Crisis: Innovating Job Retention Policies to Avoid Mass Unemployment

Hyojin Seo - Gendered labour market patterns across Europe: does family policy mitigate feminisation of Outsiders?

Dr. Joan Abbas & Siri Hansen Pedersen - In-work benefit reforms: (how) does government partisanship matter?

The Political Studies Association (PSA) Social Policy and Politics (SPP) Specialist Group promotes the study of social policy with reference to political science debates and methods. The group focuses on core social policy concerns such as health, housing, criminal justice, benefits, social care, and pensions, yet its theoretical and methodological approaches are heterodox, reflecting diversity within the PSA and field of social policy. Members tend to be interested in debates about political economy, facilitating study of social policy in the context of wider debates within political science.

This particular event aims to showcase and discuss the work of Early Career Researchers within the SPP specialist group. Our presenters and discussants come from a range of different Universities and disciplines, but all are working on various aspects of Social Policy.
