Description

he workshop fosters scientific debate on the Digital Services Act, with a focus on transparency and enforcement mechanisms.

The European Union has recently adopted the Digital Services Act, a regulation aimed at creating a safer digital space where the fundamental rights of users are protected and establishing a level playing field for businesses.

While the objective of the legislation is commendable, the approach adopted by the Digital Services Act is not without flaws.

During the workshop, participants will address some open questions emerging from the act. In particular, the workshop will focus on transparency and enforcement mechanisms, supported by the research findings presented by Marta Maroni (Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom) and Federica Casarosa (Part-time Professor at the Centre for Judicial Cooperation).
